No, the original box is not required. Use a sturdy box with enough padding to protect the projector, especially around the lens and corners. The projector should not be able to shift inside the box during shipping.
Why does my UPS shipping label say 6 lbs when my projector is heavier?
All prepaid UPS labels default to 6 lbs. You can still use the label if your projector is heavier. UPS will record the actual weight when the package is scanned, and any adjustment is billed to us automatically. There is nothing extra you need to do.
